Dear Sir
I understand at Mr Driver’s 1 office that he has been over the property at Laycock and therefore that we shall be in a position when I have seen him – which I will do tomorrow – of having data on which to negociate if you should still desire to do so – for settling now the amount of compensation 2 [illegible word] for passing through your property. I am desirous of knowing how you would wish to proceed – whether you wish yourself to meet me upon the subject or whether my agent and who can undertake to act for you –
I am dear Sir Yours very Truly
I K Brunel
H Fox Talbot Esq
