Emma 1 arrived like magic before I had time to remember she was gone, & brought me your specimens & only No 3. from Longman 2 I was perfectly astonished to find she had been in Paternoster Row, where I never was! Longman told her he had not got No 4. Is not that a great shame? I write this on purpose to let you know Longman’s delinquencies before you leave town, that you may take measures while you are on the spot, to reprimand him.
