Lacock Abbey
Tuesday July 29.
My dear Henry
I hear circuitously from Sackville St. 1 that you are not to be written to any more at York – but I don’t see why one’s letters should not try their chance of meeting you there till you give us some new address – Lady Elisabeth’s 2 letter today tells me that Longman says there is a great demand for the Pencil of Nature 3 number 1 because it contains the description of the process – & being out of print, he cant cannot supply copies – In your absence this is unlucky; as I imagine nobody can do anything in the matter unless you have spare views which you could direct me to find & the to forward to the Binder –
Really your weather has been too provokingly dismal & contrarient – These two last have been wetter here than many preceding ones – All the children 4 are going on well with the exception of colds, which I hope won’t be of much consequence – I long to hear from you again –
Horatia 5 did not come after all –
Your affectionate
Constance.
There is a letter come here directed to Capt Talbot – I conclude it may wait till your return –
