My Dear Mother
I have received all your letters – Tomorrow I mean to return to Lacock – We have had only one day available for photography and I believe we have got a good view or two in York but nowhere else.
Tuesday was one of the most deplorable days I ever saw – It poured in torrents all the way from Chester to Birmingham – I slept at Worcester, a nice little city and came from thence today – There are symptoms this evening of finer weather. All the hay is spoiled in the North of England, but the fields & woods are greener and more luxuriant than I have hardly ever seen them. The symptoms I spoke of are already gone off
Your affte
Henry
