My Dear Mother
I hope you received the letter 1 I wrote yesterday – I am sorry Lord L. 2 was called up to Town the day before your spread as it is so seldom he favors us with his presence. I suppose my message about photography in Syria 3 was not in time. I find that Brooke 4 has sold altogether about a hundred of the pictures at about 4 shillings or 4/6 each. What fine moonlight nights we have had lately – I hope the planets have been shining propitiously upon the Abbey –
Yours affly
Henry
I send the Post to divert you – The violence of its anger against Peel 5 will amuse you all
