TALBOT5535

My dear Henry

You did not make me promise to write but I know you will like to hear of our being safely arrived – We had a very good journey – only a little chilly – from such continual rain – the early verdure is charming – of the hedges & bushes and grass – but I am glad to see the trees not advanced.

This house feels fresh & clean & rather airy – but so comfortable! –

I hope you will nurse your cold carefully.

Chicks are so <illeg> at getting back to their old haunts.

Your affectionate

Constance.
