Mama ¹ had a very bad & restless night, but is quieter now – & D^r Holland ² who was here this morning, thinks her a little better. Aunt Louisa ³ is here with me now helping to nurse her, & you know she excels in that art. Mama has none of that pain now but suffers very much from faintness & sickishness & is very weak –

Mama says she would like to see you & hopes you will come up tomorrow as you originally intended. Tho’ it is Sunday Aunt L. has undertaken to send this so that it sh^d reach you tomorrow morn^g & I shall expect you accordingly – but hope you may find her better –

D^r H. is very attentive & W^r[?] has slept here these 2 nights to be at hand.
