Dear Sir

I regret that I am unable to avail myself at present of your kind invitation to Middle Hill to inspect your MSS; but I shall have great pleasure in doing so at another time –

Would you like me to send one of my assistants to Middle Hill to copy the M.S. of the 7^th Century for you, if it be found copyable, and at the same time he could make views of your house and the surrounding scenery or of any other interesting objects –

Believe me Yours most truly
H. F. Talbot
