It is my intention to visit Kington, Chippenham, Malmsy, &c at the end of this month: & I am desirous of examining once more, & for the last time, Lacock Abbey: as I shall have occasion to say something of all these places in the Autobiography which I am preparing for the press, & which will contain much curious biographical, bibliographical & archæological matter also several engravings.
I write to ask if you will allow me to look over the old parts of your Abbey residence?
