M^r F. ²⁶ wrote to D^r Butler ²⁷ some time ago to say you had leave to go to Holland House ²⁸ whenever you were sent for, but if it should occur after the Weather becomes cold & the Evenings dark I should think you had better defer the visit till a more convenient opportunity, as you would have to return Sunday Night to be ready for Monday Morning. I hope you will guard against Chilblains in time this year, as you suffered so much from them before. Why don't you write to me? I wrote to you ²⁹ the day after we got here -
