My dear Henry
I think the postage of your letters will come rather expensive, if I am to forward them all. – I have already sent you one thick packet – Horatia is gone up to Mansfield Street today – Caroline is there with Valletort who has had a rheumatic fever but it is passing off – and they will all go down to Cowes together as soon as he is able to travel. Lord Mt E. was still negociating for a house when the latest despatch<es> were received. – Now Horatia is really off, I fancy she is going to slip through our fingers as last year – I mean that she leaves us as if for a little while & comes back no more – She knows nothing yet for certain in respect to their future plans – I am longing to hear from you from the mountains – and that you are laying in a stock of health. All here are well & I have nothing new of any sort to tell you –
I hope my Brother is recovering – as well as possible – for they do not expect to be detained more than a week or ten days in London – He has been allowed to walk a little, late in the day – but is still very weak – Alexander himself admits that the attack was very severe – & Harriot seems to have felt much alarm at the time –
