We left Moreton 1 for Blandford races on Wednesday, after which I, Kit, & John 2 proceeded in two gigs to Deans Leaze. 3 The rest of the party to the amount of about twenty, followed us very late. Next day, they all returned to the races, except I, who preferred to stay at Dean’s Leaze. They all came back at night. Aunt Louisa & Lord Lansdowne 4 left us Saturday. I think Deans Leaze an extremely pleasant place, & should have thought it still more so, if the weather had not been so rainy. What [illegible deletion] We left Deans Leaze yesterday at one oclock & did not arrive here till half past twelve, though it is only 51 miles. – . We experienced considerable difficulty in getting any tea, which did not come till just one oclock. We leave Bath about seven this evening for Clifton 5 We met Marianne 6 at Blandford Races. You have not written to me Lately – Pray do. –
Yrs. Affectionately
Henry.
