My dear Henry
The little messenger to Keswick brought me back this letter yesterday – by which you will see that the Gaisfords will not come to us, at soonest, before Monday or Tuesday next – therefore you will have no occasion to hurry back – And I will not touch any of the things in the state bed room till I see whether Jones comes back in time to move them upstairs.– He drank some of your Soda Water yesterday & found it good. I long to hear how Charles gets through his journey – & acquits himself manfully on this first trial – You had nice pleasant weather yesterday – Today your clouds are perhaps higher than ours – here we are enveloped in a drizzling rain. Pray give much love from us to Aunt & Cousin Mary. I suppose Horatia is mistaken in thinking she is at Bowood –
Your affect.
Constance
