London Wedny Evg Thursday Evg
My dear Constance
Can you send me the Times of today when done with. It contains a long list of the prizes and medals awarded, and I should like to keep it.
Henneman gets a small medal, and is not well pleased with it – I should have had a great medal as I am informed, if I had exhibited any photographs but having exhibited none I get nothing. To Sir David’s enquiries, why I did not, I reply that I did not understand that people could be exhibitors unless they were manufacturers or shopkeepers at least I did not know this till too late, for if I recollect all who intended to be exhibitors were required to say so last October, a twelvemonth ago – When I ask Sir David why he did not exhibit, he replies pretty nearly the same thing.
Your affte
Henry
