Grasmere

My dear Henry
I have sent your Thursday’s ‘Times’ as you desire. –
Will you be so good as to order the newsman to direct the Paper to Lacock after Thursday the 23d.? Till that date, it had better come to Grasmere as usual, because Jones will not leave before Saturday, and will take care of those that may come after we leave – and if we should be detained one or two days by dripping weather like the present, we should like to have them to read.
Yesterday was fine enough, but today the rain is falling steadily, with such a close warm air! – It is all owing to the continuance of west winds –
We talked to Mr. Brown yesterday & find we can easily see the Duddon & Furness by sleeping at Ulverston the 1st. day and Milnthorpe the 2d. – which we will do if the weather is favorable – If you intend writing to me on the road, you must say where I ought to enquire for letters. – If we start on Wednesday, it will be before the Post comes in – So anything further you have to say must be said by return of post Monday. –
Your affection
Constance –
If you see Miss Brewster, pray assure her of the pleasure her visit will give me – and to you, I may add, that she & her Father are favorites with us all. – Mlle. A. & the girls looked very glad when they heard of your invitation.
Perhaps we shall see Charles, in our way. We must nearly pass the door, I suppose.
