My dear Henry
Mr Brown’s letter is come today – May I open it and act upon it? as it will facilitate the winding up of my last years’ accounts. Charles received a letter from Mr Wilson this morning, with a piece of Latin for him to translate. Which he has done, on a slate & has partly written it out fair to send him tomorrow – We have rather neglected writing Mr Wilson of late as neither Charles nor I have answered his last letters. – He sends many good wishes of all kinds to all of us, as usual and makes many enquiries after Charles’s progress in his studies. and also respecting the manner of his spending his present holidays –
Matilda has received your new Charades – I suppose they will be guessed at tea time – Mlle A’s cold is a shade better. Charles is going on as well as possible –
Your affectionate
Constance
