My dear Sir,

I have this morning received a note from M^r Blomfield, from which it w^d appear that he means to accept this Curacy – He is coming to Lacock to-morrow to decide about it –

He was from home when the Bishop wrote, or I sh^d have heard from him before – M^r John Paley is staying at Capt Rook’s & in case of M^r Blomfield’s declining the Curacy means to apply for it again, tho’ his Father has withdrawn his nomination –
