I forward simultaneously with this the 20 Steel Plates and proofs & also proofs from 3 Steel plates rec^d on Monday. I have not yet rec^d those advised by a letter of todays post –

There seems to be a successful approach to the effect of an aquatint especialy [sic] in the darkest – would not an opake [sic] dust equally distributed over the surface & exposed to the light have the same effect as a gause [sic]
