“CHROMO – LITHOGRAPHIC PRINTING. – A splendid SPECIMEN of this beautiful ART, executed by Dean and Law, to be SEEN at their General Engraving and Lithographic Printing Office, Clement’s-Lane, City.”1
Monday
What does the above mean? Does it mean that they have found out the Art of transmitting colours? – I am sorry you come to town the very day after we go, & extremely so that I cannot do as you wish. Joseph must travel with me, & Wright 2 must remain here for some days to pack the Piano & settle everything about the House as he always does & as somebody must every year.
You can establish Pullen 3 to sleep over the Stables & John Humphries 4 in Delorme’s 5 room, & in the day time all is safe. I will send Joseph on from Bowood 6 the minute I get there
