10 oclock A.M.
Paris 28 July 1854
My Dear Constance
The weather has experienced an agreeable change – we suffered much from the extreme heat, which at length reached the degree of 92º ½ in the shade, and the nights hardly cooler than the days But on Wedny evening a tremendous deluge of rain burst over Paris and since then the weather has changed. I intend to leave for Calais at 11 oclock this morning Tell Mlle that Madme Dévizes has left Paris & resides at Mantes.
Your affte
Henry
