My dear Constance

Today I chanced to meet with Professor Lepsius at the British Museum – I asked him to come and renew his acquaintance with Lacock Abbey, but tho’ he only arrived Yesterday he is going back to Berlin on Monday and therefore Could not accept my invitation –

I called yesterday on Caroline & Harriet without finding either of them at home –

We have very pleasant weather in Town
