My dear Sir

Your first letter only came to me on Sat^y evening: and I write by return of post on Monday.

I hope your son will not suffer from travelling [sic] in this cold weather: but it seems a little less severe this afternoon, as the wind is now S.W.

I hope to write again tomorrow or next day.
