Dear Sir

Rather than inconvenience you I will retain the Copies of your Work on Etymology in my Warehouse – My sole reason for asking you to take them was the slight prospect I saw of disposing of them except at a very reduced price

Some authors, in similar cases, have presented copies of their Works to the various provincial Libraries now established throughout Great Britain – in wch office of distribution the Society of Arts is willing to act –

I remain Dear Sir Your faithful Serv^t
