TALBOT7443

Lincolns Inn 1
25th Aug 1857

My dear Sir

I send You the answer of Mr Loxley 2 declining to furnish the copy of Mr Hindmarsh’s opinion 3 so we must form a judgment without it – as that will be done most probably upon other grounds it is not of so much consequence –

Ever Yours faithfully
J. H Bolton

[enclosure: copy (in another hand) of Fry & Loxley to Price Bolton & Filder]

Dr Sirs,

Talbot v Walker

We regret we cannot comply with your request by furnishing a copy of Mr Hindmarsh’s opinion It seems to us, as we stated when we had the pleasure of seeing you, that no argument founded upon the specification is likely to convince when an opposite opinion is strongly impressed upon the mind. But the case may be viewed by all parties as one not free from difficulty and properly therefore the subject of a compromise. –

Dear Sirs,
Yours faithy
(sd) Fry & Loxley
Messrs Price Bolton & Filder
