4 Circus 1
March 30
My dear Papa,
We heard yesterday that Willie 2 reached home on Monday, in good health and spirits, his father 3 having met him at Crewe. Tilly says it is quite a relief to her to have him home.
She herself was better, but the weather still so bad she could not get out. Jack 4 was to go home on Thursday, as that period of quarantine was considered sufficient.
I wonder whether you are at this moment (8.15) experiencing a thunderstorm? We have just had 2 long loud rolls – It has been very wet & chilly all the afternoon after a delusive <sic> bright morning. You do not say anything about yourself so I hope you are better. I think I shall come and see you on Tuesday – I will order Macauby next time I go out.
Henriette 5 has received a letter from her brother begging her to come and live with him altogether, now he is a widower, with only one delicate daughter – If she accepts, which she seems very much inclined to do, it will make a great change, but she is going to take time to consider calmly.
Goodbye dear Papa, it is post time,
Your most affect daughter
Rosamond
I am sorry Bewley Court 6 is being pulled about – I always hoped it would be preserved.
