Sir

By rail I have sent 20 of each of 5 plates Also pr^fs of each of the last plates. I also send you pr^fs of each of all the plates used for the Photographic News ¹ Altogether 6,000 have been printed from them and I think Mess^rs Petter & G ² are satisfied with the result. There was hardly time to do them still it being important I managed to do them

I also send 24 highly polished plates. I had to send them back three times hence the delay

Trusting you will be satisfied with the result

I am Y^r Ob^t Ser^t
