My dear Sir,

In consequence of some of my party wishing to return [illegible deletion] with [illegible deletion] their brothers I have anticipated the usual time of my holidays and fixed them for Dec^br 9^th. Can I take any steps to facilitate Charles’ journey? He will reach London by 11. o’cl^k on that day – I can give a good report of him, and shall hope to write more at length after the Examination.
