To/ W. H. F. Talbot Esquire

Honourd Sir/

I regret exceedingly your answer in the negative If you would favour me with your approval – it might be a good opening for me to repay my past years of labour providing my endeavours had meet with success and I think I should. I returne Honourd Sir my humble Sincear thanks for your kind permission to work for the palace – but I fear as there was previously to my discovering the improved process or receiving your consent a dispute respecting the right of Working the old process of Photogalvanography which circumstance I think will prevent my further patronage as I suppose they do not like to be mixed up in it – and I believe their opinion is that my statements are mearly a modifycation of Photogalvanography as the inclosed – which I receaved from Dr Becker, will prove – I beg Honourd Sir to solicit a few lines in reply to this

I have the Honour to be Sir Your humble Obedient Servant
Theor Ward
