Dear Talbot

I enclose a list of Private Tutors, supplied to me by M^r Mathison, one of our three College Tutors on whose judgement I can entirely rely. He tells me that all those whom he mentions are really good tutors. I should recommend him as <your son’s?> College Tutor; and you can communicate with him if you require further information about any of the Tutors in his list.

I shall be glad to have your son here. Believe me

Yours very truly
