Our Election has just resulted in the return of M^r R. Long ¹ and M^r Lysley, Col^l Boldero having resigned a few days ago – I understand that Cap^t Marshall resigned his pretensions for Calne last night leaving M^r Lowe to be returned without opposition. I trust your Brother in law and Nephew Lord Valletort ² will be successful – I will let you know the result at Devizes as soon as I hear it, South Wilts nomination is fixed for Monday & North Wilts for Tuesday next.
