Paris Sunday 5th August
My Dear Constance
I have received the 3 letters you addressed to me here, and this is the third I have written to you from Paris – The weather at Paris is for the most part rainy and the Parisians are loud in their Complaints that they will have no summer but for my part I find it very pleasant to be able to go about without suffering from heat. Yesterday I met my friend Monsr León Foucault who was one I think Mr Ross’s calmness of temper and not being elated was one reason of his winning the queens prize.
Give my love to Ela and Charles
Your affte
Henry
