My dear Henry

One line to say we are going on favorably – which you will rejoice to hear – If at Oakfield before this letter reaches London, you will find the latest news of our dear Child – in our letters to Ela – I shall be anxious to hear of your getting to Oakfield by the time you proposed –

Matilda’s head is becoming much clearer but her state still requires the greatest care & prudence.

Your affectionate
Constance
