My dear Henry

I will add a few lines from myself in Rosamonds envelope, to say that Mr Grieve called on me this morning in consequence of yesterday’s message – he said he must meet one of the other Trustees and obtain his assent to your proposal of renting Millburn Tower1 for one year certain, with the option of remaining at the expiration of that period – the other conditions being accepted by you – He expected to see this gentleman either in the course of today – or of Monday – And he will acquaint me with the result. This is an indispensable form of courtesy between them – but I rather believe that Mr White (the brother trustee) will agree to whatever Mr Grieve proposes – We have had a very pleasant mild day, with occasional showers – I went to Coates Crescent to answer a note of Tilly’s; and then proceeded to Clarendon Crest and saw Mrs Kelland, looking very well and cheerful – She is able to walk a little every day, and has dined with old Miss Walker, and with Lady Murray. She reported favorably of the Professor’s improvement – so that I really hope their troubles are over for the present. I told her we were likely to settle at Millburn, which greatly pleased her – I think I shall have a letter from you tomorrow – so will wait in expectation. –

I have forgotten to thank you for what you thought of doing about my Hospital Ticket – I would certainly like to have the privilege of admitting a Patient (instead of Jane Latham) should a Ticket be required in the Parish of Lacock, before the expiration of the present year: And if you would not mind the trouble of writing to ask Mr Strong the Secretary, I should be much obliged to you – yet it is possible that I may have no application in that interval.

Please give my love to Charles – I hope he is enjoying himself at Lacock –

Your affectionate
Constance
