Dear Sir,

I remitted £200 to Mess^rs Coutts ² on the 6^th ins^t agreeably with your Request – M^r Gladstone ³ and M^r Caldwell ⁴ are both from home so I have been unable to obtain replies from them on the other points referred to in your letter – I anticipate no difficulty in making satisfactory arrangements in both cases and I will bear in mind what you say about the strip of Land belonging to M^r Starky ⁵ adjoining your property at Nethermore –
