My dear Sir

I will not delay a Post in acknowledging your kind & courteous Letter, by waiting to receive it back, (perhaps with Observations which I otherwise I might have to communicate to you) from the other Gentlemen with whom I concurred in addressing you – The Law allows you 6 Months – & we certainly, if we had been entitled to press you for a Decision at all, sh^d not be entitled to press either for a hasty one, or for one regardless of other Claims–
