Dear Sir

I rec^d yours with the Photo Engravings, in my opinion N^o 1– is the best as there is more detail in it than the others but I do not think it advisable to shew it by itself to the trustees, it scarcely shews what the process is capable of doing – 4 or 5 plates of different articles would give a better idea of the process & its capabilities<.> I do not consider it so good as some of the Photoglyphs I have seen of your doing<.> I suppose the subject is not so suitable as others<.>
