My dear Sir

I have received your note respecting the missing proofs of photographs addressed to you, & you may depend on my making every possible enquiry to recover them; but it will assist me if you will be good enough to send me the name & address of the senders of the photographs, as enquiry must be made of them as to where and by whom & at what time the packet was deposited in the post office.
