My dear Sir,

I enclose my first proof of the little slab. it is all right, and I have lately seen another copy

I find <cuneiform> on the parallel inscription at the Museum. See also <cuneiform> of the <M?p?> of Sardenopulus, Introductory passages l 5, compare <cuneiform> l. 9 of the Nimrud Obilisk. We have also <cuneiform> in Sh. Ph. i. 21. I do not know what it means here. I will send the Part I to Lacock Abbey, Please excuse this hasty scrawl.
