TALBOT9693

13 Montague Place Worthing

24 August 1870

My dear Sir,

I was glad to see a letter from you on my arrival here, and to learn that the correction of Suanna had interested you: this Suanna has been unfortunate, having been printed <cuneiform> in 50\526. See my Dic p.205. I have no doubt that <cuneiform> in the same is a misprint for <cuneiform> “city”

I have now to communicate another error in Tayler’s cylinder i. 25, where we have <cuneiform> instead <cuneiform> uvasseru, indirect form of “he had abandoned.” This is of interest to me, as I am working at my treatise of verbs. Uveseru with <cuneiform> was possible, as we have uvaseru with <cuneiform> in Sen T.iii.58. In the photograph <cuneiform> is perfectly clear.

I remain, my dear Sir Yours faithfully

Edwin Norris
