Humphry Davy to Faraday   5 June 1818

Frankfurt on the | Mayne | June 5. 1818

So far we have had a very prosperous journey - I write these few lines to beg you not to take the trouble to send me the newspapers, as I shall be able to see them at Vienna. My visit to Flanders was I hope of use to the colliers1. They had some very bad lamps but there had been no accident. They have promised me to follow the model strictly.

Most sincerely wishing you health & happiness | I am very sincerely yours | H. Davy
