Humphry Davy to Faraday   26 June 1818

Vienna 26 June

I write these few lines to say that our journey here & stay here have been agreeable.

I have seen Count Stadions1 expts from which it is certain that there is a Chloric acid containing less oxygene than the acid in Hyperoxymuriate of Potassa; the white fumes produced in acting upon the hy oxy Potassa by sulphuric acid are this body2.

Will you be so good as to put these items in the 2ps & general posts according to their directions.

I have already been in Hungary but I am going again.

Direct to me till the beginning of Sept at Trieste.

I am very sincerely | Yours | H. Davy

Pray remember me to all at the R.I.
