I have the pleasure of enclosing you an account of the temperature of the Well at Sheerness a subject on which Mr Underwood1 wished me to make enquiries for You. The results below are such as have been obtained by Mr. Thomas2 Engineer at the Dock Yard[.] He has promised me similar observations the coming winter which I shall also transmit to you

I have also to beg your acceptance of a paper which I shall shortly have an opportunity of sending you “On the existence of a limit to Vaporization”3[.]
