Faraday to William Hasledine Pepys   5 January 1827

Dear Sir

I have been thinking over the Lectures and hope to make a good subject of manipulation[.] I should like if you have no objection that the general announcement or the title of the course should be Lectures &c “On the Philosophy and Practice of Chemical Manipulation1 but I will send you the heads for the card in two or three days2[.]

As I presume you will be at the Lecture room this Evening will you have the kindness to let Mr Styles3 know that I will meet him tomorrow (Sat) morning at the [London] Institution at 11 oclk to look over the apparatus[.]
