Dear Sir

I return your drawings2 which I trust you will receive safe and with them to send the thanks of the Committee for your kindness[.]

I am in hopes you will be willing to lend us some other of your curious & interesting matters for other of our evenings[.]

Whenever you feel inclined to come pray apply to me for a ticket. It is our only mode of making our acknowledgements to those who oblige us.
