Sir;

I beg leave, on behalf of the scientific committee, to enclose you the accompanying certified bills for expences incurred in the manufacture of glass for optical purposes and to request you to lay them before the Lords Commissioners that their payment may be ordered. Their total amount is £ 80..4..6. They include every expenditure up to the present time, and the experiments are still in progress.
