Berkeley Westropp to Faraday   21 October 1831

Oct 21st 1831

Sir,

I take the liberty of sending you a bottle of the water from the West India Dock and another from the St Catherine, which the Committee will feel extremely obliged to you to include in your analysis. I omitted sending them at first1 from an impression that that from the London dock proved pure there could be no question as to the state of the others, however the prejudice against the Dock water appears to be so general, and the class of persons most influenced by it, so little disposed to enquire into the merits of the case, The Committee are anxious, to include all in their Report, so that every obstacle may be removed.

I shall be happy to wait on you at any period you may do me the favor to express a wish to see me.

I remain | Berkley Westropp | Secy

Michl Faraday Esq | &c &c &c
