Faraday to Charles Babbage   13 September 18321

Royal Institution | Sept 13th.

My dear Sir

As the smell of the Napthalene is very much modified by the impurities accompanying it I have sent you two specimens. I could have sent you one still fouler & more odoriferous than the red one but that I thought bad enough[.]

I will examine the deposits as soon as possible[.]

Ever Yours faithfully | M. Faraday

Charles Babbage Esq | &c &c &c

Dated on the basis that Faraday sent Babbage the analysis of deposits in letter 614.
