Mr. Children having called on me since you were here, I have mentioned to him the circumstance of no letter, announcing to you the award of the Copley Medal f[or] this year, having been sent. He has requested me to give you an official notification of this award, & therefore I beg to enclose you an official copy of the Minute of Council1 and to inform you that the Medal will be delivered to you by His Royal Highness the Duke of Sussex as President of the Royal Socy on the Day of the Anniversary Meeting, the 30th Instant2 | JH.
