York Sept 13

Dear Sir

In sending the enclosed a doubt came over me whether Mr Henland1 [sic] might be in London or in England. I have therefore enclosed it to you & in case he is not in London will thank you to open it & order for me the minerals mentioned in it of Sowerby2 or any other dealer for I am in immediate want of them[.] Many thanks for your account of your experiment which is highly interesting3[.]
