I have the honor to inform you that, at a meeting of the Royal Medical and Chirurgical Society held on the 24th Inst you were unanimously elected an Honorary Fellow of the Society, and I am directed by the President2 to request the favor of your attendance at the Society's next meeting (to be held on Tuesday, December the 8th at 1/2 past 8 p.m) for the purpose of enrolling your name on the list of Fellows and of being formally admitted into the Society3.

I take this opportunity of sending you a list of the Fellows and a copy of the Society's charter and Bye-laws.
